A timeless object: The Brionvega Totem RR231 Audio System
In 1971, celebrated architect and designer Mario Bellini created an audio system that featured an innovative modular system. Named Totem rr231, the design incorporated a turntable and two speakers that came together to create a perfect cubic form. The speakers rotated to open the unit and reveal the turntable in the middle. To mark the audio system’s 50th anniversary, Italian brand Brionvega re-launched the design with some modern upgrades. The new Totem rr231 stereo system recreates the original faithfully, but also features contemporary technology, seamlessly integrated in its design. Monolithic and minimalist the pristine white cube blends sculpture and sound in one.
Radiofonografo RR226
Radiofonografo RR226 designed by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Brionvega is a radiophonograph equipped with turntable, AM / FM radio, connectors for connecting external systems, Bluetooth and headphone jack output. It comes with forged aluminum pedestal and wheels, it is also possible to orient and move the speakers. Available in different finishes.
Radio Cubo 50 TS522D+S
A reissue of the classic TS 502 transistor radio designed by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper in 1963, the Brionvega Radio Cubo 50 updates a design so iconic that it was part of David Bowie’s personal sound system. Named for its simple, open-and-shut, split-cube shape this update of the original design incorporates a digital screen, FM radio and Bluetooth speaker as well as an alarm clock, the Radio Cubo now runs on both a standard plug-in electrical cord and a rechargeable battery with up to 6 hour.
